About the Institute: The National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad is an apex level autonomous organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, undertakes national and international training programmes, research, management education, knowledge management, consultancy and implementing the flagship central sector programmes on agricultural extension management (www.manage.gov.in).

MANAGE Internship Programme: MANAGE internships intend to provide experiential learning to integrate knowledge and theory of extension education with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to learn recent advances in extension education, gain valuable applied experience and facilitate to develop the professional network among the agricultural extension stakeholders.

Objectives:

1. To provide knowledge support to students for pursuing exciting and innovative research ideas.
2. To give the opportunity to take-up short-term topical research.
3. To inculcate the professional dynamism among the extension students.
4. To impart practical knowledge and exposure to the GoI schemes. 

Eligibility:

1. The Scheme is open to the students of M.Sc/Ph.D in Agricultural Extension Education & related subjects, Economics, Rural Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, Mass Communication, Journalism, Sociology, Psychology and Environmental Science .
2. The applicant should be M.Sc or Ph.D (PG degree pursuing second year students also eligible).

Duration of the Internship: Three months 

Place of the Internship: MANAGE, Hyderabad

Application and selection:

1. Filling ONLINE application (manage.gov.in) the student and uploading following documents.
2. A letter of recommendation from the HoD.
3. Tentative proposal for the topical research (maximum two pages).
4. CV and motivation letter of the student.
5. The applications shall be screened and selected a committee at MANAGE.

Stipend and logistics:

1. Selected students to be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000/-.
2. Students who are availing any other fellowship/ stipend will not be given MANAGE stipend but they will be given preference for internship selection.
3. Lodging and boarding expenditure to be borne the MANAGE.
4. Travel arrangement to reach MANAGE has to be taken care the concerned students/ their institutes.
