About the e-Village project:

The Model e-Village project implemented in the selected ten remote tribal villages of East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh State, India. The e-village project established ICT infrastructure and provided regular e-awareness and e-literacy programmes and also experimented local need based IT applications in the area of agriculture and allied sectors. The e-Village project activities includes; Village Awareness Meetings and Identification of e-Villages, Villagers’ Information Needs Assessment, ICT Capacity Building Workshop for Facilitators, facilitating Online and Offline Access to the Agricultural Resources the tribal farmers, Convergence of University Education, Research and Extension Programmes with e-Village Centre, Advanced Farm Technology Demonstrations the e-Village Project Fellows,  KVK Extension Activities at the e-Village Centres, Village Adoption Scheme of the Central Agricultural University, Rural Horticultural Work Experience Programme (RHWE), Environmental Awareness Programmes, Computer Education and e-Literacy,  Multimedia CDs, National Seminar & Exposure Visits and TV-DTH: Awareness, Education & Entertainment.
