The Context

India, being the agriculture-dominated country, is fighting hard since independence to increase the agricultural production and productivity and succeeded too. More than half of Indian population depends on agriculture for livelihoods. To meet the present and future demands of growing population from existing land availability, better private  extension service along with certified agri-advisors are required the agricultural stakeholders, hence to sort out this issue, MANAGE came up with a concept of MANAGE-Private Affordable Extension Service (M-PAES).

Workshop Objective:

1. Brief discussion on current status and modes of consultancy services
2. Opportunities and best options for MANGE certified consultancy services to farmers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (and also other states).
3. Certification of agricultural consultants
4. Expected role of MANAGE in promoting the certified consultancy
5. Other suggestions.
